Tara Sinn is an artist who works mainly in video, code, and digital media. Using found material such as open source software, generative code and CGI, she reworks these elements into digital compositions made from her own analog and computer-generated imagery, sometimes augmenting them with animation, multimedia, and interactivity. Her works, which take form both on and offline, are rooted in the mutable nature of the Internet-as-artifact, and reflect on subtleties found in the space between online and offline existence.
Since first exhibiting her browser-based work offscreen, she has translated her digital work into immersive installations, large-scale projections, lenticulars, garments, and augmented reality. She currently lives in Los Angeles.
